After a long absence, I've finally got myself back to DA. It's been a strenuous 2008-2009 for me. I don't want to sound corny but I just don't know how else to put it but after getting a new job, enduring family and financial problems, and other issues, I felt my spirit as an artist ebb away. My now previous job involved mostly business work and people around me were just stressing me out. For almost a whole year I could not pick up a pencil and draw anything decent.

But thanks to a risky career move back into animation, creative inspiration is flowing back and hopefully I'll produce my very own short animated film soon. Though I can't promise it to look professional since I'll be doing almost everything by myself.

I'm still just an intern in my new job as a CG artist. But the extension of my internship due to problems with our project has made me consider applying for a job elsewhere.

I'll be posting more of my fanwork, even sketches and unfinished doujins here sometime this week -- as soon as I scan them.

For all those who have dev-watched me, commented or fav'd my work and those I have befriended over DA, thank you very much for the show of support (and the pageviews, hehe)! I'll do my best to add more work and improve my skills as an artist, and keep up whatever fandom I'm into.

My plans for next year... get a tablet and start learning matte painting; revive my old Royai site (which I have decided to rename into "Guns and Alchemy" if the name is not in use; ... and download more stuff from the net in the office via torrent, heh XD

I'm trying to keep awake right now. I'm currently in the office. I've been feeling kinda sick lately (sore throat... I can't talk out loud!). I don't know if it's my illness or my waking up at 4am, or even the airconditioning that's making me VERY sleepy today. Heck, I already did fall asleep and my boss (who is sitting on the desk beside me) caught me at it. He's a good guy and didn't scold me, but since I can barely speak due to my sore throat, he must've concluded that I was feeling really bad. He asked if I'm ok and if I wanted to go home but -- won't they subtract my absence from my pay?! Besides, it's my own friggin' fault that got me to feeling like this so I should just suck it in and wait for about 2 more hours before I can leave.

But the good thing about my sore throat is, I can skip our company's X'mas party this weekend! YAY! I don't want to attend because my friends back in Pampanga are expecting me home. Joe's birthday was last Saturday but her grandpa died that day so all plans were moved to this weekend -- which also happens to be Rogelio's bday! Double birthdays, yay!

Anyway, I'm beginning to wake up now and my boss just ended his phone call. I wouldn't want him to see me writing this journal...

So I've been moaning about jobhunting and unemployment for most of the year and now... SURPRISE! I'm working! YAY! Thanks to my cousin who referred me here. I'm current in the office and not really doing anything since I finished my work early and my boss is still out for lunch. I like it here, heh.

This is my first week on the job... I hope I don't screw it up and end up losing this job.

Right now my job is as a graphic artist for web design. I owe this job to my rabid Royai fandom. If I wasn't so obsessed with them that I'd learn HTML on my own and launch 4 versions, with the last version a rather effective one, I wouldn't have anything to show them and I wouldn't have gotten this job! My bosses even said what I did with those website where more difficult than what I'll be required to do.

Thanks to this, my plans of re-launching my new Royai website... which I have decided to name: "Guns and Alchemy"... sometime next year so I'll need some more royai resources...

Anyway, I'm freezing my ass off... the aircon's air is blowing directly at my place and there's nothing anyone can do about it. BAH! Oh well, at least it's cold.

I still can't believe that what started as a hobby for me became my job. This is the second time this happened -- animation being the first. Maybe next time, it'll be with 3D animation, heh. I'm saving up for it with the money I'll earn here... and I'll also buy a PSP, NDS, Ipod, Computer... and the list goes on and on...

It's already October so WHY IS IT SO GOD DAMN HOT!!! Urrrrgggghh... I miss the rain. It's usually cold around this time of the year with December being so close and all. I don't even use a blanket to sleep anymore. Ugggghh, I thought with the summer months gone, I'd finally enjoy cold weather.

*sigh* What I wouldn't give to enjoy the cold weather wrapped in a comforter drinking hot chocolate/coffee...
